Real Betis Balompié has signed Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao. The player will stay in the Green-and-White Club until the 30th of June of 2016.
Leandro Damiao da Silva dos Santos (Jardim Alegre, Paraná, Brazil, 22nd of July 1989) played at professional level at Internacional, Santos FC and Cruzeiro EC. He played 267 matches at top level and has scored 118 goals. Con la selección nacional de Brasil ha disputado 17 partidos desde 2011 anotando tres goles.
He has won several titles, such as one Copa Libertadores, one Recopa Sudamericana and the silver medal at the Olympic Games London 2010 with Brazil.
Damiao is a strong and efective striker. He is 1.87 metres tall.
He is the third player signed recently by Real Betis after Charly Musonda Jr and Martín Montoya.
